Three ways in

Start here. Grow from here.

    Appointment Setter

Reach out to drivers who asked to hear from us, check it's a safe time to talk, and schedule them with a licensed agent.

You don't give insurance advice, quote prices or sell. Those go to a licensed agent.

    Working toward a license

    Agent-in-Training

Follow your state's licensing road map: education where required, the exam, then the license application. Many keep setting appointments while they study.

Passing the exam isn't a license. You sell only after the state issues it and we verify it.

    Plan my licensing path

    Licensed Insurance Agent

Tell us your resident state, other states and lines of authority. We verify your license and any required appointments, then talk about the fit.

Sales access opens only after verification, in the states and lines you're authorized for.

What the work feels like

The human touch matters.

  • A tired driver, 11 hours in. You keep it short, listen more than you talk, and let him decide if now's the time.
  • "I'm on the highway." You stop and offer to reach back out when they're parked. No pressure, ever.
  • "My wife's been on me about this." You don't explain policies. You set a time with a licensed agent who can.
  • The follow-up. You call when you said you would, confirm the appointment, and respect a "no" the first time.

What you'll do.

  • Reach out to drivers using approved scripts and outreach.
  • Confirm interest and check it's a safe time to talk.
  • Schedule or transfer conversations to licensed agents.
  • Keep clean notes in the CRM.
  • Honor every opt-out and do-not-contact request.

What you'll learn.

  • How to have a respectful, useful conversation.
  • The trucking world: schedules, routes, the vocabulary.
  • CRM and scheduling tools.
  • Life insurance foundations and your state's licensing road map.
  • Product training, once you're licensed and verified.

Does it cost anything to ask?

No. Sending the interest form is free and does not commit you to anything.

Can I start before I have a license?

Yes, you can start the conversation and the licensing steps before you are licensed. Unlicensed people cannot sell, solicit or negotiate insurance. Where state rules allow it and after approval, some people help with appointment setting while they study. That is not guaranteed.

What does an appointment setter do?

Where it is allowed, an appointment setter helps schedule conversations with licensed agents and handles logistics. Setters do not quote prices, recommend coverage, take applications or answer product questions. Those go to a licensed agent.

How long does licensing take?

It depends on your state: some require pre-licensing hours, an exam, fingerprints and an application in a set order. We help you find your state's official steps. The state makes the final decision.

Who pays for training and exam fees?

You do — the agent pays for everything: training, exam fees, and licensing.

Is this remote?

Yes — this is a remote role.

How is pay decided?

There is no upfront pay. Nothing is paid for signing up or training; earnings come from production once you are licensed and active.

What does an affiliate do?

An approved affiliate shares a tracked TruckLife recruiting link using approved materials. People who are interested sign up for themselves, and our team handles screening, licensing guidance and onboarding. Affiliates are not insurance agents and do not sell or discuss insurance for TruckLife.

Referral introducers

Know someone who'd be great at this?

There's a separate referral-introducer program for people who want to send us future teammates. Introducers don't give insurance advice or sell policies. Referral and payment rules depend on your state, so our team approves every setup first. No income promise.
